In loving memory of Grandpa Burdett

Trevor's grandfather passed away on September 3, 2009. We had the opportunity to drive to Idaho and attend his funeral. It was a beautiful service. Trevor's dad and 2 brothers spoke and all the grand and great grand children sang "I am a child of God." Trevor's parents live in California and didn't make it in time to see him pass. Trevor's dad wrote a letter to Trevor's grandpa but he passed before he was able to read it. So Trevor's dad read the letter at the funeral. He told his Dad that he was his hero and how proud of the man that he was, for all he had taught him. It was very touching. Grandpa Burdett was survived by his wife Grandma Clara who is pictured with the girls and by his three sons and their families. Together they have 14 grand children and 41 great grand children.

My girls call Grandma and Grandpa Lords little Grandma and Grandpa because they are both short. Morgan said she could feel Little Grandpa Lords spirit at the viewing. The girls asked a lot of questions about death and heaven at the funeral. I am so grateful for my knowledge of the gospel and know that Little Grandpa Lords is in a much better place in heaven.
